7,420m² Asbestos Replacement Against a Fixed Shutdown Deadline
This large-scale project required the removal and replacement of approximately 7,420m² of asbestos roofing and wall cladding within the Christmas shutdown period. The works needed to be completed safely and efficiently so the site could resume normal operations with minimal delay.
Solution
Compliant Asbestos Removal & Full Roof, Cladding & Drainage Upgrade
R.O. Steel Roofing carried out the controlled removal and compliant disposal of all asbestos materials before upgrading the building envelope with new Zincalume Trimdek roof sheeting. New Zincalume box gutters, eaves gutters and downpipes were also installed to improve stormwater management and long-term performance.
Outcome
A Safer, More Durable Facility Delivered On Time for Reopening
The project delivered a new roofing, cladding and drainage system within a constrained shutdown programme. Careful planning, strict asbestos controls and efficient delivery allowed the client to return to operations with a safer, more durable and lower-maintenance facility.
