Challenge
Re-Roofing a Highly Corrosive Equestrian Environment
The project required careful planning to protect the integrity of the arena ground cover and prevent any risk of fallen screws, debris or sharp materials causing injury to horses. The roofing system also needed to withstand the highly corrosive environment created by horse urine, while works were carried out with minimal disruption to horses, stable hands, patrons and daily operations.
Solution
Protected Grounds & Corrosion-Resistant Purlins
The arena ground surface was securely covered and protected throughout the works. Stramit ZAM® purlins were installed for their enhanced corrosion resistance, providing long-term durability in a demanding equestrian environment. Works were carefully coordinated with Centennial Parklands management, City of Sydney representatives and onsite stable personnel, with work hours planned around daily operations.
Outcome
A Modern upgrade for a premier Facility
The project was completed efficiently with minimal disruption to the centre’s operations. The result was a modern, durable roofing upgrade that supports the ongoing use of this premier equestrian facility for locals, visitors and tourists for many years to come.
